There are a lot of stories of surgeons turned musicians, or lawyers turned spa-owners. People who make it big in corporate American, only to pull a career 180. But I wonder if this is a growing trend, and indicative of something systemic in the way businesses are run in the US. Despite the enlarged hours and workloads brought upon us from the recession. Rewards and responsibilities are weighed entirely too much on management, and too little on those who actually do the work.
